Portuguese post start issuing personalized stamps on October 9, 2007. They are called "meuselo" (mystamp) and similar to the spanish ones, sticker type.

Image shows a copy of the personalized stamp I've ordered to promote my Delcampe store. I've choosed the same image I have there, the old coat of arms from the Mozambique Company, with the portuguese arms sustained by two elephants.

The "N 20grs" denomination means this stamp is valid for franking inside Portugal for items up to 20 grams.

The actual face value for it is only 0.30€. However, they are more expensive to order because portuguese post charge a fee for the personalization.

This stamps are also accepted for international mail with additional franking for the remaining value.

I'm a long time stamp collector, living near Lisbon, Portugal.

I mainly collect and trade stamps and postal history from Portugal, his former colonies and the new independent portuguese speaking countries.

However, the main reason for this blog I intend to write in my poor english is to interact with my philatelic friends around the world.

This blog is for my notes on worldwide philately.

Personal notes about any field of stamp collecting including something I always like to see everyday in my mailbox: covers and more covers!
